Tottenham take on Wolves at Molineux in a crunch Premier League clash.

Tottenham Hotspur aim to get their first Premier League win of 2026 as they travel to Molineux to face relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday evening.

Spurs remain entrenched in the bottom three for another week, two points adrift of safety, following a late equaliser conceded in their 2-2 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend. The result extended the Lilywhites’ winless run in the top flight to a worrying 15 matches, intensifying the pressure on the club to avoid a catastrophic relegation.

This makes the Wolves fixture a must-win for Spurs if they are to preserve their top-flight status. The Wanderers have nothing left to fight for except pride, so they will try to cause damage to Tottenham’s survival hopes.

Roberto De Zerbi gives Tottenham team news ahead of Wolves game

Roberto De Zerbi’s challenge is compounded by significant injury issues. Reports emerged on Thursday that Destiny Udogie, who has just returned from a hamstring injury, had sustained an unspecified knock and was a doubt for Saturday’s trip to Molineux.

The 46-year-old head coach has now confirmed the news, but is hopeful Udogie will be back in the next game. He added that Guglielmo Vicario is still not ready to feature for the club after undergoing hernia surgery during the March international break.

“Destiny has a [muscular] problem. I think he can’t play tomorrow, but he played on Saturday and played a great first half, second half as well, but the first was great. We have Spence, and Souza is available to come with us. It’s not a big problem, I hope Udogie could be back for next week at Villa Park,” De Zerbi said in his press conference (h/t Football London).

“He is not available for tomorrow. I hope he can start with me from Monday. Antonin is playing very well. I hope Vicario can come back in the best physical condition because he’s a very important player for us.”

James Maddison, though travelling with the squad, is not yet ready to contribute on the pitch for the team after being an unused substitute against Brighton.

“No, he’s [Maddison] not available [to play] yet. Tomorrow he will come on the bench because he’s important, whether he plays or not. Better he plays, but as a leader and a guy, I want to see in my dressing room nice people, positive people,” De Zerbi added.

Maddison’s presence in and around the squad is pivotal, as Spurs look for more leaders in the coming weeks in their battle to stay afloat in the Premier League. The England international’s voice can be influential, even when he is not playing.

As for Udogie, the Italian has started both games at left-back under De Zerbi and would be a big miss. Djed Spence is expected to deputise for the injured Udogie vs. Wolves, while Antonin Kinsky will retain his spot between the sticks.
