The powerful centre back earned massive praise across the professional football sphere after showing incredible dedication toward vulnerable people in London.
Fans absolutely adore players giving back. The N17 faithful received brilliant news when officials confirmed a major honour for Kevin Danso. Securing the men’s PFA Community Champion prize represents a huge milestone. This recognition highlights his commitment toward supporting vital projects throughout the 2025-26 season, as he remains a consistent advocate for local food banks. Danso backed the fight against food poverty in Tottenham on 07 November 2025.

The Austrian visited the Tottenham Foodbank twice this current campaign. His contributions included a special trip around Christmas. He physically helped deliver an annual donation to Tottenham Town Hall in December 2025. The club provides this essential delivery on top of year-round support. That local foodbank boasts over six years of crucial experience supporting people in crisis. They provided emergency food to families and individuals, and the organisation supported 5,725 people last year, with almost a third of those locals being children.
Kevin Danso claims PFA Community Champion honour as Tottenham Hotspur proudly celebrate
A charity representative fittingly presented his award at the Training Centre. The player operates as an ambassador for The Passage. He began backing that homelessness charity on 21 August 2025. His aim is to raise awareness of homelessness. Tottenham Foodbank Project Manager Tonye Philemon spoke directly about the financial situation. “Demand for our support is rising sharply, while funding and donations are falling,” Philemon explained. “We’re incredibly grateful for the support of Tottenham Hotspur and community champions like Kevin Danso.”
“It’s this backing that helps keep our doors open,” Philemon added. Professional Footballers Association CEO Maheta Molango released a statement praising him. “We know from our work with players that they feel passionately about using their influence in positive ways to drive change in their communities,” Molango noted. “Our PFA Community Champions have shown incredible dedication to community engagement projects over the season and it’s right that they are celebrated for the impact they’ve had.” He deserves praise.
