Spurs are in desperate need of a new centre-forward this summer. A lack of goals in the Premier League, combined with the ongoing injury crisis at N17, has severely hindered the club’s progress. Tottenham are in the race to sign Nicolas Jackson

Recent reports have linked Spurs with Nicolas Jackson. Currently on loan at Bayern Munich (on 14 G/A across all competitions), the striker is expected to return to Chelsea in the summer, as the Bundesliga giants have no plans to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena beyond this season. Furthermore, Chelsea are also reportedly open to parting ways with Jackson and could be willing to cash in on the Senegal international if the right offer arrives in the coming months.
Spurs, however, may have to fend off competition from two Serie A clubs for the 24-year-old’s signature. As per Florian Plettenberg (via X), both Juventus and AC Milan are planning to sign Nicolas Jackson on loan for next season. Both clubs are aiming to challenge for the league title next year and want to strengthen their attacking options in order to compete on all fronts. As a result, they believe that signing the Senegal international would provide much-needed depth in the final third.
A worthy move for Tottenham?
While Nicolas Jackson may have enjoyed scoring a hat-trick at N17 a couple of years ago, Spurs would be wise to avoid pursuing the striker this summer. He has been inconsistent in his performances and has yet to fully establish himself at either Chelsea or Bayern Munich. The Senegal international has also struggled to break into the starting eleven under Vincent Kompany.
There are stronger options available on the market that the North Londoners could target instead of Jackson. The Senegal international remains an unfinished product and may not provide sufficient competition for Dominic Solanke on a consistent basis. As a result, it would be prudent for the Lilywhites to shift their focus elsewhere rather than pursue a move for the 24-year-old in the coming months.
