Tottenham are keen on recruiting a new left-winger in the summer for next season.

Tottenham Hotspur are keen to strengthen their squad when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

The North London club’s first and foremost priority remains preserving the top-flight status. They cannot afford relegation for several reasons, but their biggest concern should be the potential departure of key players if the club goes down to the Championship. Spurs require fresh additions in the summer, especially in the attacking areas of the field.

Randal Kolo Muani is set to go back to PSG once his loan deal expires, while Tottenham cannot rely solely on Mathys Tel to provide flair, creativity and goals from wide areas. Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons have sustained ACL injuries and are unlikely to return to action in 2026, meaning the N17 bosses must adequately replace them in the squad over the transfer window.

Tottenham-linked AC Milan star Christian Pulisic wanted by Manchester United

The Lilywhites are determined to strengthen their attack and recruit an experienced winger capable of making an immediate impact at N17 under Roberto de Zerbi. Recent reports have linked Tottenham with AC Milan star Christian Pulisic.

Christian Pulisic enjoyed a productive first half of the season, netting 10 goals (13 G/A). But his form has massively dipped since the turn of the year. The winger is yet to score a competitive goal in 2026, yet he isn’t short of suitors heading into the final weeks of the season.

According to an exclusive report from TEAMtalk, Pulisic is firmly on the radar of Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window. The club’s recruitment chief, Christopher Vivell, has a deep knowledge of the USA international dating back to his rise in prominence at Borussia Dortmund, where he established himself as one of the Bundesliga’s hottest talents.

The Red Devils are accelerating plans to reshape their attacking options as they close in on Champions League qualification. They view Pulisic a stylistic fit for the club’s requirements, even though a permanent head coach hasn’t been hired.

The report adds that there is uncertainty surrounding Pulisic’s future as he enters the final year of his contract, and there have been no talks over an extension. While the Rossoneri hold an option to extend his stay, there are currently no active negotiations happening over a new deal. This situation has put several clubs on red alert.

Blow for Spurs in Pulisic’s pursuit?

With that in mind, Tottenham are eager to lure Pulisic back to the Premier League by offering him a key role in the first XI. However, they may fall short in their pursuit of the 27-year-old in the coming months following Man United’s entry in the race.

As the Mancunian giants have almost clinched Champions League qualification for next season, they could bid aggressively for the ex-Chelsea man to bolster their forward department in the summer. Pulisic’s versatility to play across the front line is a major factor for the appeal, with United recruiting flexible attackers in the form of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo last summer.

Having failed to live up to his hype at Chelsea due to several factors, Pulisic, who has 66 goal contributions in 131 appearances for Milan thus far, could be tempted to return to the Premier League before the 2026/27 campaign commences. If that happens, United will have a clear advantage over Spurs in signing the USA international from Milan. To have a realistic chance of signing Pulisic, De Zerbi must first keep our club in the top flight.
