Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Radu Drăgușin has been linked with a move away from Hotspur Way when the summer transfer window comes around. The Lilywhites have been lining up his exit for a while, and it did look like the Romanian would finally be off the books at N17 in the winter window, but the club weren’t ready to sanction a mid-season exit.

But going into the upcoming summer window, his representatives are said to have established contacts with three Serie A giants in Inter Milan, AC Milan and AS Roma as his agent looks to engineer a summer exit, according to a report relayed by Sport Witness.
The 24-year-old Romanian has featured for only one minute across the last five games in the Premier League, and he is growing increasingly unhappy with his situation at Hotspur Way.
Roma did try to get a hold of Dragusin in the January transfer window, but they were ready to offer only a loan with an option to buy, which Tottenham were not ready to accept.
The report states that AS Roma will try to discuss a loan with an obligation or conditional obligation to buy Dragusin in the summer. A structure like this would give Tottenham a guaranteed Radu exit route with a commitment of the money to come into the bank.
The thing with all the Serie A clubs is that they don’t have the finances of a Premier League club, which makes any transfer difficult. And this is where an outright permanent transfer is beyond what either Inter, Milan or Roma can offer, which is why that loan-to-buy option comes to the surface.

Dragusin has struggled to get minutes since he infamously chose to move to Tottenham over Bayern Munich. He did get by when either Romero or Van de Ven was injured, but after Kevin Danso came into the picture, Radu has gone further down the pecking order, and the pathway to consistent starts at Tottenham has become more and more difficult.
Alongside the abovementioned three clubs, Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig have also had links with Dragusin, and they do boast decent finances to offer a permanent exit route this summer.
We will see how this ends up, but one thing is surely established: that Radu would be shown the Hotspurs Way doors in the summer.
