Several Tottenham players have been attracting interest from clubs across Europe.
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to undergo a proper squad revamp when the summer transfer window comes around. One of the struggles at White Hart Lane has been on the offensive side of things, and this is where the club are expected to make some adjustments during the off-season.
But while the chiefs at Hotspur Way look around Europe and beyond for fresh blood, there are several Spurs players linked with an exit. Guglielmo Vicario is very likely to depart, having reached full agreement on personal terms with Inter Milan ahead of a potential move. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have been attracting interest from some of Europe’s top clubs, while Radu Dragusin’s agent is actively trying to engineer a summer move away from N17.
Now, another club has entered the mix to lure a player away from Tottenham.
Paris FC eye summer move for Mathys Tel
According to an exclusive report from LE10Sport, Ligue 1 side Paris FC (in their fourth top flight season) are interested in signing Mathys Tel. They are lining up the Tottenham forward who went from hero to villain against Leeds United, as their next ‘star player’ this summer.
Paris FC have confirmed their place in Ligue 1 for next season, and the club’s owners are ready to reach into their deep pockets and reinforce their squad this summer to ensure they remain safe. The French side want to bring in a new ‘star player’ and holds an interest in Mathys Tel, who has endured a season full of ups and downs in North London.
Tel has been forced to bide the majority of his time on the sidelines. Credit to the youngster for remaining patient and not throwing a fit, whilst continuing to work harder behind the scenes. The lack of regular playing opportunities saw him linked with a move away from N17 during the January window, with a host of clubs keen on his signature. However, the France Under-21 international stayed put amid an injury crisis.
Following De Zerbi’s appointment as the head coach in March, Tel has started to get opportunities. In the absence of some key attackers, the Sarcelles-born talent has clocked regular minutes in recent weeks, most notably putting in a strong performance in Tottenham’s 2-1 win at Aston Villa.
Tottenham must look to retain Tel
Tel’s frustration at Tottenham is understandable. Spurs turned his loan from Bayern Munich into a permanent deal in June 2025 with the promise of regular minutes and the chance to hone his skills, but a lack of plan and constant chopping and changing of managers have impacted the versatile forward’s development in N17.
Paris FC could attempt to make a move for the Frenchman if Tottenham are relegated to the Championship. While he is yet to make a significant impact since his permanent move from Bayern, Tel is still a very young player with high potential. The 21-year-old, who has registered three goals and two assists this season, could yet develop into a world-class player for the North Londoners if he is rightly backed and guided.
That said, it would be naïve if the club bosses give up on Tel quickly. Should Paris FC come calling, Spurs must reject their advances for the young French attacker.
