Tottenham are planning to splash the cash on new attackers in the upcoming transfer window.

London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are embroiled in a thick Premier League relegation battle.

West Ham’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal last weekend, albeit with immense controversy, helped secure safety for the likes of Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace. This means the face-off is now purely between Spurs and West Ham to avoid joining Wolves and Burnley in the Championship next season.

Tottenham have the upper hand with two games left to play, boasting a two-point advantage over 18th-placed West Ham following the 1-1 draw with Leeds United on Monday evening. Simultaneously, the N17 chiefs are busy planning for the summer transfer window, and it won’t be surprising if they end up raiding any relegated sides after confirming their top-flight status.

Recent reports have linked Spurs with West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen. The England international has played a pivotal role in helping the Hammers fight for survival this season, which could come at the expense of the Lilywhites. Now, there has been a development on the forward’s future at the London Stadium.

Jarrod Bowen planning to stay loyal to West Ham in case of relegation

According to an exclusive report from TEAMtalk, Jarrod Bowen is open to staying put at West Ham rather than agitating for a move elsewhere, even if they get relegated later this month.

The 29-year-old has emerged on the radar of clubs such as Spurs, Everton and Liverpool after delivering 10 goals and 11 assists in all competitions for a broken West Ham side this season. This highlights why the versatile forward remains firmly in contention for a place in the England squad under Thomas Tuchel for the 2026 World Cup.

Tottenham have been long-term admirers of Bowen, enquiring about his availability in the past two summer transfer windows. The North Londoners are continuing to keep track of the attacker’s developments and could also offer him a chance to stay in London, where Bowen and his family are reportedly settled and enjoying life. This is one of the big factors why Bowen is open to staying in east London, irrespective of the Irons’ status next season.

Big setback for Tottenham?

Tottenham forwards’ failure to influence games and find the back of the net consistently has been a major problem this season. Richarlison is the club’s top scorer with 11 goals in all competitions; however, it is quite evident that the Brazilian international cannot be trusted to shoulder the responsibility to lead the attack for an entire season, as he lacks consistency and is injury-prone.

Randal Kolo Muani is set to leave the club and return to PSG upon the expiry of his loan contract, while Dominic Solanke’s future remains up in the air as well, owing to persistent injury issues. It comes as little surprise that the North Londoners are prepared to strengthen their attacking options in the upcoming transfer window, and they have Bowen as one of their prime targets.

Bowen has developed into one of the most dangerous wide forwards in the Premier League in recent years. Having predominantly operated on the right, the Leominster-born star is more than capable of serving as a centre-forward and scoring goals. The England international has the ingredients in his game, coupled with his leadership skills and volumes of top-flight experience, to elevate Tottenham’s attack.

However, with Bowen keen to stay put at West Ham, the Lilywhites may move on to alternative targets to improve their attack in the summer.
