Christian Eriksen collapsed for the second time on the football pitch, after a more terrifying incident back in 2021.

Former Tottenham star, Christian Eriksen, has sent a message to all the players following his scary collapse on the football pitch during Denmark’s friendly against Ukraine.

The game, which was taking place at Nature Energy Park had to be canceled eventually with Denmark in the lead, 2-1. Patrick Dorgu had opened the scoring for the Danes, before Joakim Maehle doubled the lead. Viktor Tsygankov pulled one back for Ukraine.

Eriksen, meanwhile, fell to the ground clutching his chest. After receiving initial treatment on the pitch, he was taken to the hospital via. an ambulance. And, according to Football London, Eriksen walked to the ambulance without needing any help, a very positive sign indeed.

Denmark national football team’s doctor provides latest update on Christian Eriksen

In the wake of this, Denmark’s football team doctor has provided an extensive update on Christian Eriksen. This is according to Football London:

Doctor Morten Boesen said, highlighting that it was the pacemaker that gave a shock:

“Christian is doing well and walked off the pitch himself. As I see it, the pacemaker gave a shock, as it is supposed to.

“He was briefly out, but regained consciousness very quickly, and we were quickly in contact with him. Now he needs to be examined further at the hospital to find out what caused the incident.

The doctor also relayed what Eriksen told his teammates:

“We are continuously in contact with him and the doctors at the hospital. But Christian is doing well, and he asked me to say hello to all the players and say that he was okay.”

The footballing world will be hoping that Christian Eriksen recovers soon. Prayers up to the former Tottenham man!
