Tottenham have been pushing had for Tonali fransfer.

Tottenham Hotspur has been looking to compound their second phase options before the start of the new season, and Roberto De Zerbi has apparently picked his man as the Lilywhites continue to move aggressively to bring Sandro Tonali to Hotspur Way.

Tottenham push for Tonali transfer

The North Londoners have already made two bids to sign the Italian international, with both being rebuffed by the Magpies as they look for a three-figure fee to let go of Tonali, who is said to be pushing for a move to Tottenham after agreeing on personal terms valued at around £12m-a-year wages.

Despite the rejected bids, Tottenham are said to still push to work towards bringing him to N17, with an improved offer reportedly expected, and that offer would be near what Newcastle values him for.

But Tottenham are not alone in pursuit of his signature, with Arsenal & Man City also exploring a move for Tonali, with the recent news from BBC suggesting that the former club went on to inquire with Tonali’s representatives, which would be a scary thought for Lilywhites fans, having seen Eze’s option to move to the Gunners after weeks of links with a Tottenham transfer last year.

That being said, Tonali is a man of words, and he is looking to honour the one he has given to De Zerbi.

Newcastle looking for Tonali replacement

By the looks of it, Newcastle United are already planning on life without Tonali.

According to a recent report from Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie, the Magpies are now making a move to bring Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha to St. James’ Park, with Eddie Howe being said to be a longstanding admirer of the 25-year-old.

Howe and Nmecha have a bit of a history as well, given that Eddie tried to sign him back in the summer window of 2023 with Newcastle United ending up pushing for Tonali instead of him. And now it looks like Howe & Co. are set to return for the player that they passed on to sign Tonali three years ago and, ironically, to replace Tonali.

Newcastle initiating a move to sign Felix Nmecha should tell you everything about how much the Magpies are worried about the possibility of losing Tonali this summer.

It looks like Tottenham are doing everything they can in their push to sign Tonali, but now it is about pushing to find an agreement with Newcastle before either Arsenal or Manchester City start getting a whiff of his signature.
