Spurs are interested in signing Union SG’s versatile winger, Anan Khalaili. The 21-year-old, who can operate as a right wing-back, right-sided midfielder or right-winger, delivered six goals and as many assists across all competitions in the 2025/26 season. The Israeli international has caught the attention of several clubs across Europe with his versatility, work rate, pace, running power and intensity.
Recent reports indicated that Napoli have been advancing in talks with Union SG to sign Anan Khalaili. However, it looks like the race is still open and Tottenham are one of the clubs in the mix.
According to Het Laatste Nieuws journalist Geert Lambaerts, Inter Milan have begun dialogue with Union SG to sign Khalaili, but nothing is finalised yet. Tottenham is still in the mix, alongside Premier League rivals Newcastle United.
“The latest on Khalaili? We learned from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise on Sunday that Inter has begun making contact with the club. Napoli has been interested in the player for weeks now. Inter could be a rival to Napoli for this player. Tottenham is still in the mix, and there’s also talk of Newcastle,” Geert Lambaerts was quoted by Napoli Magazine.
Can Tottenham beat Inter and Napoli to Khalaili’s signing?
Inter Milan and Napoli are seemingly frontrunners to sign Khalaili, but there is still time for Tottenham to hijack a move. If Spurs can provide the Israeli international regular opportunities and a platform to develop his game, his head could get turned.
Given the Lilywhites have been investing in a lot of young talent in recent years and honing their skill set, Khalaili might get attracted to De Zerbi’s project and decide to join us. It will be difficult to convince the youngster and his entourage to pick our project over Inter’s and Napoli’s, but not impossible.
