The striker never really got going at Tottenham.
There is a major summer rebuild that is expected at Hotspur Way following two consecutive seventeenth-place finishes that the Lilywhites have endured in the English top-tier ladder.
While barely surviving in the last campaign, Roberto De Zerbi has taken the lead to go aggressively in the transfer market, and that is seen in the four signings that the North Londoners have made already this season.
But as new players come in, the ones who are already at N17 will have to make way for them. And this is where the Lilywhites’ outgoing business comes into picture.
Randal Kolo Muani out the Hotspur Way doors?
One of the first players out there, Hotspur Way door, would be Randal Kolo Muani. The Frenchman had been on loan at Tottenham last campaign after then-club chairman Daniel Levy pulled off a surprise deal to bring him to Tottenham.
But Muani had a howler of a season, and that reflects in the one goal that he scored in the 2025/26 Premier League season.
With his loan ending and Tottenham not pursuing his signature, he goes back on the PSG payroll. And now Juventus have made an inquiry for his signature.
The Serie A giants have already agreed on personal terms with the French #9, and now they are pushing to find common terms with PSG as they look to land him as a Vlahović replacement this summer. (h/t Fabrizio Romano via X)
The 27-year-old did play for Juventus when he was on loan at the Serie A giants (January 2025), and he enjoyed a good spell for them given the ten goals that he scored alongside the three assists he got to his name in 22 games playing under Igor Tudor, who did also manage Spurs last season.
Given he can get to play his preferred #9 at Juventus, this could be the right choice for him as well, given how he knows Juve inside out as well.
Tottenham need a new #9
While for Tottenham, it does look like the North Londoners will not be moving for him and try and look to sign someone who fits De Zerbi’s playing style instead. There is also a possibility that Tottenham go into the season with a trio of Richarlison, Solanke and Tel as striking options, but that would be quite risky given how all of them struggled in front of goal last season.
