Tottenham have identified a Premier League talent to reinforce their forward line.

After guiding Spurs to top-flight safety on the final day of last season, Roberto De Zerbi is on a mission to transform the squad he inherited, and the Spurs hierarchy are now wholeheartedly backing him in the transfer market. The North Londoners have spent close to £240million in this transfer window alone, indicating a clear change in recruitment strategy from the club’s new hierarchy. And they are not done yet.
Spending is expected to continue, with De Zerbi eyeing a new striker to lead his attack next season. Owing to Randal Kolo Muani’s return to PSG after the expiry of his loan, coupled with the inconsistency of both Richarlison and Dominic Solanke, bringing in a quality striker is an absolute must.

Latest reports suggest Tottenham are interested in signing Bournemouth forward Eli Kroupi Junior after an electric debut season in the Premier League.
Eli Kroupi Junior was a revelation in English football last term, impressing with his speed, movement, link-up play and clinical finishing. He broke the long-standing record for the most goals by a teenager in their debut Premier League season, netting 13 times in 33 appearances. A host of clubs across England and Europe have been hugely impressed by the Frenchman.
However, Bournemouth reportedly have no intention of selling Kroupi after just one season. The south coast club will only part ways with the young forward if their £80million asking price is met. Now, reliable Football London journalist Alasdair Gold has delivered an update on Kroupi’s future amid Spurs interest.
“There’s interest, of course, but everyone’s interested, he’s one of the young stars of the Premier League, everyone wants him,” Alasdair Gold said on the Talking Tottenham podcast.
“This new version of Tottenham, they have certainly gone at deals this summer where there was opposition, and they’ve come out of the other side. I’m hearing Bournemouth have got no intention of selling, but we’ll see if that’s tested as the summer goes on.
“I’m fascinated to see if Spurs are going after bigger targets, proper targets, not targets that might be good, but targets we know are already good, I’m fascinated to see how they approach that situation.
“You’re probably not taking on one or two clubs, you’re taking on half of Europe.”
Eli Kroupi Junior – Tough deal to crack!
Tottenham aren’t the only club keen on Kroupi. Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on the 20-year-old, who still has four years remaining on his contract at the Vitality Stadium.
There is no doubting the ambition of Spurs’ new hierarchy after what they have done in this transfer window thus far, but competing with clubs like PSG and Arsenal for the highly-rated Kroupi would be difficult. Realistically, both PSG and Arsenal can provide better projects for the France Under-21 international to hone his skills and establish himself as one of the best in his position.
Even if Spurs meet the Cherries’ financial demands, agreeing personal terms with the player could become difficult with the likes of PSG and Arsenal firmly in the race.
