Recent reports have indicated that Tottenham are closely following Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye.
A product of the Paris Saint-Germain academy, Ibrahim Mbaye broke into the senior side in the 2024/25 season. He played 23 times across all competitions for PSG last season, but started just once in Ligue 1.
The teenager was a part of the Senegal squad that reached the knockouts of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and to aid his development, the winger doesn’t want to remain at Parc des Princes. Mbaye wants to leave his boyhood club for regular playing opportunities, sparking interest from several clubs across Europe.
Now, according to an exclusive report from United in Focus, transfer expert Ekrem Konur has revealed that Manchester United are also exploring a move for Mbaye. The 13-time Premier League champions are preparing an offer for the PSG starlet.
“Manchester United are exploring ways to integrate Mbaye into their medium‑term squad plans,” Ekrem Konur has revealed.
Should Spurs battle Manchester United for Mbaye?
PSG are willing to consider bids close to €35 million for the Senegalese international this summer. Several other Premier League clubs are already preparing offers for the youngster, who can operate on both wings and as a No.10. Mbaye is desperate to play regularly at this stage of his career, and if Man United can promise him regular time, he will be attracted to the idea of joining them.
Spurs have already beaten Man United to Mateus Fernandes’ signing this summer, but should they rival the Red Devils here for Mbaye? No! Tottenham require experienced, more accomplished wingers to add more potency to their attack, and Mbaye does not fit that bill. The African attacker is a talented player with high ceiling, but he is not guaranteed to arrive in N17 and hit the ground running.
Keeping that in mind, Tottenham must not get embroiled in a battle with United for the highly-rated PSG winger.
