Among the expected players part of North Londoners’ exit list is skipper Cristian Romero, given his inconsistent performances alongside his injury problems last season.

To prepare for his eventual departure, Spurs have already brought in Jan Paul Van Hecke from Brighton in a marquee transfer earlier this offseason. The Dutch center back is expected to take up Romero’s place in the starting eleven when the next season commences. And his arrival has sparked up more rumors in the news around Romero’s future at Tottenham and his possible exit.
And the 28-year-old featured in his second consecutive FIFA World Cup final; many expect his price tag to rise. Though now TeamTalk has come out with a report stating the probable price tag that the North Londoners will hold out for their skipper. They state that the chiefs at N17 are targeting a sale price of around £50m for the Argentine.
But the report further goes on to state that given the injury record of the former Atalanta man, there is an internal belief that a bid around £40m could prove enough for Tottenham to sanction his sale.
Spanish trio already interested in Cristian Romero
While he has been an integral part of Tottenham for some time now, there have been a lot of concerns surrounding his attitude as well (something that a wide section of fans have gotten tired of, especially in the last season in the midst of a relegation battle). He also came out to publicly criticize the owners, which many look at as something that eventually led to him being considered a sellable asset this summer.
He was part of the World Cup finals yesterday, and now he will go into his mandatory vacation, but when he returns, the possibility is highly dim that he would do so donning the Spurs badge or within the corridors of Hotspur Way. And there already are three clubs lining up for his signature: Spanish giants Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Real Madrid.
There have been links to all three of them on separate occasions before the ongoing transfer window, and it looks like all three of them would rehash their interest in him this summer.
