The star shone at the recently concluded World Cup.
Tottenham Hotspur has been moving quite aggressively in the summer market as Roberto De Zerbi looks to revamp the roster at his disposal following the two consecutive seventeenth-place finishes that the Lilywhites had to endure in the English top tier.
And as the Italian head coach looks to secure high-potential players who can not only bring immediate impact but also be an integral part of the squad for years to come, this has led to links with Como attacking midfielder/wide forward Martin Baturina.
Given the long-term injury to Xavi Simons, compounded by the fact that Tottenham are open to a possible James Maddison exit, it means the Lilywhites will surely look to bring in a high-ceiling midfielder who can run the show from the middle of the park.

That is where Baturina comes into the picture. He enjoyed a promising 2025/26 seasons under Cesc Fabregas’s tutelage. His performances were enough for the season to term him as one of the better talents in the Italian top tier alongside the performances of Nico Paz.
While he had a quiet start to life for his new employers after moving to Como from Dinamo Zagreb only last season, he found his wind in the second half of the campaign. From January onward, he netted five league goals and laid off three assists, becoming a key figure in Cesc Fabregas’ side.
And he carried that performance into the World Cup, starting all four games for Croatia while also finding the back of the net against England.
Now Como president Mirwan Suwarso has confirmed via Sport Witness that they will listen to offers for their prized Croatian. And consider it if the price is right.
Premier League clubs line up for Baturina
Tottenham’s rivals Aston Villa were the first club to move. Unai Emery & Co. tabled a €55m offer, which was rejected in no time by Como. And after that offer, the duo of Manchester United and Tottenham have taken hold of the conversation of his future (at least in the rumor mill).
We have seen Tottenham already sending a marquee fee for three players this summer, showing that they (at least their rumor mill) would not mind paying a premium fee for it. But we will see if the North Londoners will table a marquee offer for him in the next weeks.
