Tottenham set €20-25 million asking price for their top-scorer from last season

Tottenham are ready to cash in on their 12-goal forward this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have been the busiest Premier League club in this summer transfer window, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.

Spurs have already moved on a few players who are deemed surplus to requirements and raised some funds. Luka Vuskovic has left the club permanently to join Brighton, while Middlesbrough have paid a package of £14 million, which could rise to £20 million with add-ons, for young striker Will Lankshear. Also, Tottenham and Fiorentina have agreed a loan-to-buy deal for Radu Dragusin.

More exits are expected, as the Lilywhites look to balance their books and free up space in the squad for new faces.

Tottenham set asking price for Richarlison

According to an exclusive report from CaughtOffside, Tottenham are keen to offload Richarlison this summer. They are understood to be willing to negotiate for a figure in the region of €20 million to €25 million for the 29-year-old, with Juventus and Fenerbahce both in the frame as potential destinations.

Richarlison was the club’s top scorer last season with 12 goals in all competitions. He managed to stay fit for the majority of the campaign, and the reward was visible on the pitch. However, the Brazilian has entered the final year of his contract, and with Roberto De Zerbi reshaping his attacking unit, the versatile forward is deemed a saleable asset.

Tottenham have been forced into a decision due to Richarlison’s contract situation—accept a reduced fee now or risk losing him for nothing next summer. The report adds that Juventus have discussed Richarlison internally as an alternative to preferred attacking target Randal Kolo Muani, who was on loan at Tottenham last season.

Fenerbahce have registered an interest as well, but the Brazilian international is understood to prefer remaining in the Premier League or moving to a leading European league. This effectively rules the Turkish club out of the competition, putting Juventus firmly in the driver’s seat for the Spurs forward’s signature.

Richarlison has proven himself in the Premier League with Watford, Everton and Spurs. He has scored 75 goals and supplied a further 31 assists in 275 Premier League games, and at 29, the South American star can deliver at a high level for at least three to four years, provided he remains fit.

For Juventus, the appeal is understandable. Not only is Richarlison experienced, but also versatile to cover different positions in attack. Plus, a €20 million to €25 million outlay for a player already battle-tested in the Premier League represents a bargain rather than a massive gamble. That said, the Turin giants must now decide whether to make a formal offer for the player or not.
