Tottenham set to battle Arsenal for 7 G/A Bundesliga talent who shone for Norway at the World Cup

Tottenham face competition from bitter rivals Arsenal for the signing of Bundesliga talent.

Tottenham Hotspur have been vying to bring in a new winger at Hotspur Way in the ongoing summer transfer window. They have been linked with several players, as Roberto De Zerbi looks to add flair and creativity to his wide department.

Recent reports have linked the Lilywhites to RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa. The Norwegian is among the several wide players Tottenham are understood to be monitoring. The youngster endured an up-and-down season with RB Leipzig, but caught the eye with his exploits at the recently concluded World Cup.

RB Leipzig are unlikely to let Antonio Nusa leave for cheap. While Spurs continue to keep tabs on the 21-year-old, our bitter rivals have taken notice.

Arsenal set to challenge Tottenham for Antonio Nusa

According to an exclusive report from The Sun, Tottenham and Arsenal are set to battle it out for the signing of Nusa.

The Norwegian international notched four goals and three assists in 31 Bundesliga appearances last season and enhanced his reputation with some eye-catching displays at the World Cup. RB Leipzig have no intention to let the attacker leave and have slapped a £51million valuation.

Christos Tzolis has arrived for £34m from Club Brugge, but Mikel Arteta wants to bring in a marquee name in wide areas ahead of the new campaign. Chelsea signing Morgan Rogers in an eye-watering £117m deal from Aston Villa have left Arsenal in desperate mode now, with Arteta apparently switching his focus to Nusa.

Tottenham remain firmly in the picture as well. De Zerbi wants quality in wide areas, as the Lilywhites are light on the flanks due to long-term injuries to Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert and potential departures. If either Manor Solomon or Mikey Moore leaves, Nusa could fill that gap in De Zerbi’s squad. The RB Leipzig star could be a difference-maker in Tottenham’s attack thanks to his pace, guile, unpredictability and dribbling ability.

Nusa is open to a fresh challenge after his successful World Cup in North America, potentially encouraging his suitors all across Europe. In England, Tottenham and Arsenal appear to be showing the most interest in the Leipzig attacker. In truth, the Gunners have been a stable environment in recent years and are set to defend their Premier League title next season. They have a strong project and Champions League football to lure Nusa away from the Bundesliga.

Keeping these factors in mind, the Tottenham boss will need to come up with something unique in terms of development and project to beat Arsenal to Nusa’s signature.
