Tottenham have been scouring the market for attacking reinforcements.
Tottenham Hotspur have grown frustrated in their pursuit of Manchester City winger Savinho. The 22-year-old has been earmarked as the Lilywhites’ top attacking target, and he is very keen to join, but reaching an agreement with Manchester City has proven difficult.
This has led to the Tottenham chiefs setting a deadline to Man City regarding the Savinho deal. They do not want to drag the negotiations into March, as Roberto De Zerbi wants the Brazilian international to get minutes in the upcoming pre-season friendlies. In addition to a winger, the Tottenham boss wants a new No.9.
Randal Kolo Muani’s exit after his loan has left De Zerbi with just two recognised strikers in Dominic Solanke and Richarlison. A reliable journalist recently revealed that Solanke was found limping into the hotel after training, and later he did not participate in the pre-season friendly vs. Sydney FC on Wednesday. Richarlison is into the final year of his contract, and there are reports of Spurs planning to cash him in this summer.
Tottenham eye move for Scottish forward Robbie Ure
The striker situation in N17 has led to the club chiefs scouring the market for talents across Europe. And it appears they have stumbled upon one.
According to the Daily Briefing of CaughtOffside, Tottenham are among a host of clubs keeping tabs on IK Sirius forward Robbie Ure. They have scouted the young talent in recent times. Chelsea and Manchester City have held talks over signing the 22-year-old, who is also wanted by AC Milan, Napoli, Monaco, Lille, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, and Besiktas.
A product of the Rangers academy, Robbie Ure left the club after one senior goal against Queen of the South because he couldn’t get a game and spent 18 months in the Belgian second tier with Anderlecht’s B side. In March 2025, he moved to IK Sirius in Sweden, and the youngster hasn’t looked back since.
The former Scotland Under-19 international finished the first season with 16 goals in 35 appearances. Ure has been in sensational goalscoring form this season, netting 15 goals in 14 appearances for his club so far. He is Allsvenskan’s top scorer in the ongoing campaign, and Ure’s form has unsurprisingly put several top European clubs on red alert.
Spurs must look to recruit the IK Sirius talent
Having spent big on their defence and midfield already this summer, it will not come as a surprise for the fans if Tottenham look out for a market opportunity as they attempt to bolster their attack. Given Ure may not cost a bomb despite his top goalscoring numbers in the Allsvenskan league, Spurs would be forgiven for viewing the Scot as a potential bargain signing.
However, with Man City and Chelsea leading the race, the Hotspur Way chiefs must hurry up if they intend to land the former Rangers youth product.
