Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi recently said that 60% of the summer transfer business have only been completed.

Spurs fans have been alerted by De Zerbi’s mysterious “bomba” deal comment, anticipating who this potential marquee attacking signing could be. Reflecting on the Italian boss’ public statements, journalist Dan Kilpatrick suggested the remarks were a measured tactical play planned to keep the hierarchy on their toes in the transfer window.

“I’m not saying there isn’t a ‘BOMBA’ and I’m sure Spurs are working on deals, but it just struck me as a really clever way of putting pressure on the people doing the transfers to get him an attacking player,” Dan Kilpatrick said on the Last World On Spurs podcast.

Spurs’ top attacking target has been Savinho all summer, but negotiations with Manchester City have been at a snail’s pace.
