Ever since Randal Kolo Muani’s loan spell came to an end earlier in the transfer window, the Lilywhites have been left with two forwards who have endured difficult spells at N17, Dominic Solanke and Richarlison. Richarlison finished last season as the club’s top scorer, netting 12 goals in all competitions under three different managers. However, Spurs have now received a definitive answer from the prolific forward as the race for his signature intensifies. As per Ekrem Konur (via X), Benjamin Sesko has no intention of leaving Old Trafford anytime soon as he enjoys working under Michael Carrick. The player is not considering a move this summer and remains determined to establish himself at Manchester United. Konur also reports that the Red Devils have no plans to sanction his departure, viewing him as a long-term investment following his arrival in 2025.
Signing Sesko was always going to be an unrealistic prospect for Spurs. The 23-year-old was expected to remain at Manchester United, considering he still has plenty to prove at Old Trafford. The Lilywhites should now shift their attention towards alternative targets as they look to strengthen their attack ahead of the upcoming campaign. Recent reports suggest the North Londoners are interested in Club Brugge’s Nicolo Tresoldi. He is a traditional #9 who can run the channels and link up effectively with the wide players, making him an excellent fit for life at N17.
