Tottenham have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace star.
Inter Milan have reportedly agreed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur to sign Djed Spence. The 26-year-old is set to become the replacement for Denzel Dumfries at right wing-back in Cristian Chivu’s system at the Giuseppe Meazza.
Spence will cost Inter Milan a total package of €35m, believed to be €31.5m in guaranteed fees and the rest in bonuses. The England international has been an important player for Tottenham since the start of 2025, after spending significant time out on loan. His departure will leave a gap in the Spurs squad, which Roberto De Zerbi and Co. appear keen to address in the final weeks of the summer transfer window.
Ben Jacobs given update on Crystal Palace defender’s links to Tottenham
Recent reports have emerged suggesting that Tottenham admire Crystal Palace’s right-back/wing-back Daniel Munoz. The 30-year-old impressed for Colombia at the summer’s World Cup, becoming an unlikely source of goals with two strikes in five games.
The South American star has now emerged as a possible target for several Premier League clubs, with Everton among those showing interest. It is unclear whether Crystal Palace are willing to sell him in a season of transition under new boss Pierre Sage. Daniel Munoz has two years left on his contract, but the Eagles also hold an option for a further year.
Now, reliable journalist Ben Jacobs has given an update on Tottenham’s links with Munoz. He has revealed that the Colombian international is a player Spurs have internally discussed at the start of the summer transfer window.
“Tottenham may be looking for a right back, or they may be looking for a kind of two-sided fullback. And Daniel Munoz is a player that they had discussed at the beginning of the window,” Ben Jacobs said on the Last Word on Spurs podcast.
“So, we’ll see if that develops. They’ll have to be relatively quick because it’s Everton that are currently in talks.”
Daniel Munoz would be a strong back-up for Pedro Porro
Munoz has turned out to be an excellent signing for Palace. The Colombian has been, without doubt, one of the most impressive right-backs in the Premier League since he arrived at Selhurst Park from KRC Genk in early 2024. He has racked up 20 goal involvements (eight goals and 12 assists) in 82 Premier League appearances.
A proven, rampaging and attacking full-back, the 30-year-old would be a strong back-up for Pedro Porro at Tottenham. Munoz’s qualities on and off the ball make him a good fit in De Zerbi’s system, whilst his Premier League experience further enhances the Lilywhites’ squad.
However, with Everton and Nottingham Forest vying for his signature, Spurs must hurry up if they intend to sign Munoz from Palace.
