Tottenham are keeping tabs on highly-rated Manchester United youngster.
Tottenham Hotspur have brought in six players this summer, with chief executive Vinai Venkatesham pivotal in concluding two of them.
The model of recruiting young talents with high potential was adopted in the last years of the Daniel Levy era at White Hart Lane. And while the Lilywhites have invested a lot of money in Premier League-proven players who can have an immediate impact, the club is still keeping its roots and bringing in young players with a bright future.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham are among several Premier League clubs keeping tabs on Manchester United wonderkid JJ Gabriel. Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool are all understood to be very much in the frame, while European giants Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have all been aware of the teenager’s talent and potential.
Manchester United have a long history of developing talented youth players from their famous academy. It is another teenager that the Red Devils have been desperate to try and keep in recent times.
Despite only being 15 years old, JJ Gabriel has become one of the most touted prospects at the club. The Argentine prodigy became Man United’s youngest-ever player at the age of 15 years and 299 days old when he took to the field against Atletico Madrid in a pre-season friendly at the start of the month.
He boasts an incredible record of 26 goals and three assists in 26 appearances for Man United Under-18s in the Premier League Under-18s. As a result, was voted the Under-18 Premier League Player of the Season in 2025/26.
However, the report adds that INEOS still have concerns over Gabriel’s future, so they are currently working on putting a plan in place to keep hold of him. The club have put scholarship plans in place and could also look at a pre-contract agreement for professional terms. The attacker will be able to sign scholarship terms with the Red Devils when he turns 16 on October 6. A professional contract could then follow a year later, and United are determined to do everything to keep hold of him.
Should the 15-year-old find a pathway into the first team difficult and decide to leave Old Trafford, Tottenham are expected to be in the long queue vying for his signature. Given his incredible talent, he’d have a myriad of top clubs to pick from to continue his development.
It seems clear that United have a top talent on their hands here, with Tottenham among several clubs keeping an eye on his situation and hoping to snap him up. This fits a pattern Spurs have leaned into more deliberately in recent transfer windows, stockpiling promising academy talent from elsewhere alongside their senior spending, with the arrivals of Cole Ramsey and Maxwell Adedeji earlier this summer part of the same philosophy.
