There is no doubt that Jean-Philippe Mateta would be an upgrade on Richarlison. The former is less injury-prone and has produced better numbers than the Spurs striker over the last few years. Not only that, but Mateta would also excel in the #9 role at N17 under Roberto de Zerbi. However, there is very little chance that the Lilywhites will be able to land the Frenchman in the coming days, given that Richarlison appears to be leaning towards staying at Hotspur Way this season.
