‘Here We Go!’ Fabrizio Romano reports that Tottenham have agreed a deal with Man City for their 22yo winger

Tottenham have struck an agreement with Manchester City for their winger.

Less than 10 days left in the summer window, and while Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the busier clubs in the transfer market, they are not done yet.

The North Londoners remain in the market for forward additions after having already bolstered their midfield and defensive ranks earlier this summer. They have spent £237 million on three fresh faces, whilst the rest arrived on free transfers.

Reports this week suggested that Spurs were working on a double deal to sign Manchester City attackers Savinho and Omar Marmoush. And after arduous negotiations with the Sky Blues, it appears Roberto De Zerbi has finally pulled off one of those deals.

Fabrizio Romano gives ‘HERE WE GO’ for Savinho to Tottenham

The Savinho transfer has been ongoing since June, but terms have now been agreed, and Tottenham are finally on the brink of completing the winger’s move to north London.

Now, reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano has given his trademark ‘HERE WE GO’ for Savinho to Spurs. He claims on X that Tottenham have reached a verbal agreement with Man City that will see the Brazilian international join for over £75m. He is set to travel to North London for the medical. Talks for Marmoush continue, but the deals are being treated as separate.

Savinho has struggled to cement himself as a regular starter at Man City across two seasons, which is no surprise when competing with such top-quality attackers. The 22-year-old endured an injury-ravaged 2025/26 campaign, which limited him to only 24 Premier League appearances. The addition of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth in January further pushed him down the pecking order.

A move to White Hart Lane could be exactly what the former Girona man needs to kickstart his career in the Premier League, and Spurs are now pushing to make it happen. He is set to become the latest marquee arrival at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

For someone who registered only a goal and an assist in the Premier League the previous campaign, splashing over £75m may lead to opinions from all across the footballing fraternity that Tottenham are overpaying for Savinho. Whilst it is true, one must consider that the Brazilian is only 22 and has time to improve. He has been rated highly in European football, and the Lilywhites are paying a huge sum for the South American’s potential, rather than the immediate product.

Hopefully, the player completes his medical at Hotspur Way without much fuss and becomes our club’s seventh signing of the record-breaking summer transfer window.
