Galatasaray have let Tottenham know about asking price for Victor Osimhen amid intense transfer links

Tottenham are hoping to end the transfer window on a high by bringing in additional attacking reinforcements.

Tottenham have done well to bolster their attack by bringing in Savio and Omar Marmoush from Manchester City earlier this week. Their arrivals at N17 mean that Roberto De Zerbi has more options to choose from when his side takes on Newcastle United in the Premier League this weekend. After a dismal start to the new league campaign, the Lilywhites will be hoping for the result to go their way as they look to get points on the board under the Italian tactician.

However, it is fair to suggest that the North Londoners should look to add a new centre-forward to their ranks in the coming days before the transfer window shuts. As of now, Roberto de Zerbi has Richarlison and Dominic Solanke as his two options for the #9 position. But both players have struggled to make a regular impact for Spurs in recent seasons during their time at N17.

Richarlison did not repay Roberto De Zerbi’s trust in him during Spurs’ dismal display against Brentford last weekend. The Brazilian looked miles off the pace and failed to create a single goal-scoring chance for himself. He lacked the desire to make an impact in the final third and was subsequently replaced by Dominic Solanke in the second half. So, it makes complete sense why the Lilywhites are now hoping to end the transfer window on a positive note by landing a new striker in the coming days.

Tottenham are keen to add Galatasaray star Victor Osimhen to their ranks

Tottenham are hoping to add more firepower in the final third by splashing some extra cash on an out-and-out centre-forward this summer. As of now, Richarlison has been told by Roberto De Zerbi that he is not in the Italian tactician’s long-term plans at the club after failing to impress during pre-season in recent months. The Brazilian only has one year left on his current deal and is exploring his options before deadline day. So, it makes complete sense that the Lilywhites are now trying to cash in on the 29-year-old instead of letting him go for free next summer.

Recent reports have linked Spurs with Galatasaray star Victor Osimhen. The Nigeria international has reached his ceiling in Turkey and is keen on exploring a move to the Premier League. He wants to test himself against top teams on a regular basis, making it clear that he still has a lot to give in the coming years. The Lilywhites have also considered making a move for the 27-year-old, with Roberto de Zerbi giving the green light for his potential arrival.

However, it is now believed that Spurs might have to break the bank to land the prolific striker in the coming days. As per Miguel Delaney (via The Independent), Galatasaray have let the Lilywhites know that if they want to sign Victor Osimhen this summer, they would have to spend approximately €150m for his signature. The Nigeria international’s current deal in Turkey runs until 2029, so the Super Lig champions are in no rush to cash in on him anytime soon.

Victor Osimhen has proved himself in one of the big leagues in Europe during his time at Napoli. There is no doubt that the prolific striker has immense talent and would instantly improve Spurs under De Zerbi. However, it makes little to no sense for the Lilywhites to break the transfer record to sign him this summer. There are plenty of other options that the North Londoners could consider who could make a similar impact to Osimhen in the coming months at N17.
