Tottenham have been watching highly-rated Norwegian talent in recent weeks.
Tottenham Hotspur have not started the 2026/27 campaign well under Roberto De Zerbi, failing to score a single goal in four games. The Lilywhites have drawn their last two games, keeping clean sheets against Nottingham Forest and Everton, but the glaring problem remains up front.
Despite overhauling the squad in the past transfer window, the Hotspur Way chiefs remain keen to identify potential opportunities in the future. The Tottenham scouts are busy recognising highly-regarded prospects all across Europe, and they have recently watched a talent from Eliteserien.
Highly-rated Valerenga talent scouted by Tottenham
According to an exclusive report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham are among several clubs to have scouted 15-year-old Gabriel Rajkovic from Valerenga. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have watched the Norwegian talent in recent weeks, while other Premier League clubs such as Aston Villa, Leeds United, Newcastle, Brighton and Sunderland are also keeping tabs on his progress.
There is also interest from clubs across Europe, including Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Gabriel Rajkovic has made a remarkable breakthrough at such a young age, having already featured for Valerenga’s senior side. Regarded as one of the most exciting young players in European football, the youngster can play on either flank as well as centrally. No wonder he is attracting interest from some of Europe’s elite clubs.
“His stature, two-footedness and ability to play centrally as well as on the flank is a huge appeal. He might only be 15, but he is already a hugely impressive figure,” one scout told TEAMtalk.
“It is hard to liken him to anyone. There is nobody like him for his age – probably in the world at this point.”
Rajkovic, who broke Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard’s record of being the youngest player to make a debut in senior football in Eliteserien history, is currently developing his talent at Valerenga. Despite being only 15, the Norwegian attacker’s adaptability is a significant asset, as he can function out wide or even centrally when needed. His ability to skilfully advance the ball from wide areas aligns perfectly with the style of football favoured by Roberto De Zerbi.
Hugely coveted in Europe, Rajkovic undoubtedly has a promising future in the game. However, there are areas he needs to refine before making the leap to the competitive environment of the Premier League. There is still much for the youngster to learn, and it would be worthwhile for us to scout him for a while longer before potentially making a move for his services.
