Lenna Gunning-Williams has officially resumed full training with the senior squad this week. The forward underwent surgery for a medical diagnosis in June. Her extended absence deprived the North Londoners of a sharp attacking option. Ho confirmed to the media that the talented youngster will be available very soon.

The squad also escaped their demanding midweek cup fixture completely unscathed. The manager rotated his starting eleven and made nine sweeping changes against West Ham United on Wednesday. Those fresh legs successfully navigated a physical London derby without picking up further issues. Ho confidently told the press that everyone remains “fit and healthy” ahead of Sunday.

Navigating Crucial Rehabilitation Periods At Hotspur Way

Ho emphasised that there were “no knocks” or lingering injuries from the midweek fixture. He described that clean bill of health as a major “positive” for the busy schedule approaching. Having a deep bench will be critical as the ambitious London club looks to maintain their unbeaten domestic momentum against Villa later this weekend.

However, some established senior figures continue their own difficult rehabilitation journeys. The medical staff are cautiously managing the return of Jess Naz and Maite Oroz following their respective anterior cruciate ligament injuries. Both influential players are participating in small parts of group sessions. Ho admitted to reporters they have “still got a way to go” before playing.

Meanwhile, commanding defender Clare Hunt is still recovering from her recent injury setback. Despite those specific long term absentees, the overall health picture looks increasingly bright for the Lilywhites. Having Gunning Williams back on the training pitch provides a huge psychological boost for the dressing room. Supporters will be eager to see her return soon.
