The Tottenham head coach expects a ruthless winning mentality from his focused squad as they head into their vital Wednesday evening cup fixture.
The confident Lilywhites just delivered a truly spectacular 4-0 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday. Martin Ho proudly described that massive performance as the absolute best display since his managerial arrival. Tottenham Women’s squad amazingly racked up 35 total efforts at goal during the rout.
Now the North Londoners must shift their full focus to the Subway Players Cup. The exciting league phase competition continues with a vital clash against Brighton at the Broadfield Stadium on Wednesday evening. The talented team needs a positive cup result following last week’s frustrating penalty shootout defeat against West Ham.
Ho firmly believes establishing consistency remains vital for long-term success. Establishing early momentum across all competitive fronts is completely essential for this ambitious club. The demanding manager has officially challenged his squad to maintain their incredible weekend intensity against a highly dangerous Brighton side.
A Ruthless Winning Mentality Is Required
Speaking directly to official club channels on Tuesday afternoon, Ho heavily emphasised his ultimate expectations. “Wins are important, and a winning mentality is important,” the manager explained. “It builds momentum, confidence, enthusiasm within the group, morale around the group.” The coach wants absolutely no complacency creeping into his focused dressing room.
The visiting Seagulls currently remain without a domestic league victory but recently pushed heavyweights Arsenal incredibly close. They also opened their own respective cup campaign with a massive 4-0 win over Charlton. “A change of manager has definitely given them a different dimension,” Ho noted regarding their upcoming opponents.
The boss highlighted their highly organised structure and transition moments as key threats. “The intention is always to go out and win, and we will do the same going into Wednesday,” he firmly concluded. The highly passionate Tottenham fanbase eagerly awaits another massive display of attacking dominance under the bright stadium floodlights.
