Tottenham are certainly planning to make some big moves in the upcoming window and are willing to splash it out for their targets it seems.

The London club haven’t had the best of luck when it comes to big money transfers coming into the club in recent seasons but they seem to be willing to splash the cash for Kylian Mbappe of Monaco after the impressive displays by the 18-year-old (According to L’Equipe).

Mbappe has scored 12 goals in 25 games for the Ligue 1 side this season including an entertaining UEFA Champions League clash against Manchester City. The Frenchman did get on the scoresheet for the side from the principality and it isn’t just Tottenham wanting to sign him up.

Arsenal are also tracking the progress of the youngster and with Arsene Wenger still being in charge of the Gunners, the French striker could feel more at home at The Emirates rather than at Spurs.

Reports claim that Daniel Levy wants to sign the talented forward and is willing to bid close to £60m to bring him over to London. Tottenham do have a young attack with the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane and the signing of the new Frenchman could make Tottenham’s attack one of the best in the country.

The major problem would be the fact that the new signings for Tottenham have not clicked. Vincent Janssen and Moussa Sissoko are yet to fire while players such as Clinton N’Jie have been shipped out on loan to other clubs.

Spurs know that they cannot keep on signing players with big money and then not stepping up to the plate. This has become a problem for Mauricio Pochettino and he would be looking to address this with the signing of Mbappe.

The youngster could turn out to be a great signing for the future but the fee of £60m does seem to be a bit excessive. Even Anthony Martial did not come for such a high price, though the fee could rise higher for the Manchester United striker should he keep scoring goals for the Red Devils.

Tottenham have to be wary of not bringing in the right players in the next window but for now, Mbappe does seem to be one of the stars in the making for the French national side.
