Tottenham’s fans were certainly not pleased with the latest performance in the Carabao Cup which ended in a 3-2 defeat at home against West Ham. Despite having rested Harry Kane, we were expected to win the game, especially when we took a 2-0 lead. West Ham, to their credit, came storming back and scored 3 goals on the trot and ended our hopes of picking up silverware in this competition.
There were a number of players who weren’t up to the mark and even our substitute Georges-Kevin N’Koudou faced the ire of the fans. N’Koudou doesn’t really play much for the first-team and got only 7 minutes against the Hammers but that seemed to be enough for a number of fans as they voiced out their frustration.
This probably is an overreaction but given that we should have won the game easily, the fans have a right to be upset. Taking it out on N’Koudou might be a bit of a stretch, but here are some of the reactions from our fans after another disappointing night at Wembley.

Final tweet from me tonight: that we’re giving Nkoudou any bench spots/minutes over Edwards is just crazy.

Are these same morons slating N’kudou, who’d slated Davies, Sissoko and everyone else on here ? If tha’s the case he’ll come good and I can rest easy once again!
We said the same about Sissoko and look at him now, the blame is us the way we where playing is not Spurs we must kill of the games not play the bal from player to player just to kill of time its just ridiculos. We lost because we wanted to thats it. No Erikson, Kane. Verts. Sanchez. Lloris. Aurier. The worst on the field whas Llorente doing just nothing, Dele whas great, so was Sissoko COYS
And that guy who sells the programmes was a disgrace too: some people have got really short memories when it suits them. I bet if you could go back far enough on Social Media you’d find the same muppets moaning about a young striker called Kane.
I remember some fans tweeting they didn’t want to see Davies ever playing for Spurs again. They didn’t want to see him wearing the “shirt” again! That wasn’t so long ago, either. Some fans are rather stupid
I can remember the same sort of comments (not on social media!) being made about Martin Chivers when he struggled after a serious injury. Loads of players since have been written off by some of the genius supporters we have: Modric, Bale, Kane, the list goes on. Best to shut up and wait and see. GKN has had very few opportunities. I don’t think he’s a world-beater, and it was a poor bit of play, but he didn’t lose that game.
