Barcelona are cooling their interest in Tottenham star Christian Eriksen and are willing to battle Real Madrid for the signature of Eden Hazard, according to Sport (h/t football.london).
Eriksen has been one of our best players under Mauricio Pochettino and has been linked with a move away to the Catalan giants.
However, Barcelona are ready to battle their fierce rivals Real for the signing of the former Lille man. The report claims that the Catalan giants would be willing to pay £100million for Eden Hazard and replace Spanish legend Andres Iniesta.
The report also claims that Hazard is their number one target and that can be good and bad news for us.
Barca and Real fighting it out for Hazard could mean a lot of time is wasted as the clubs look to outdo each other. What it also means is that one club will have to miss out on the Belgian and they could turn their attention to Eriksen again.
Eriksen should be tied down to a new contract as quickly as possible, as that would give us some sort of protection.
The Dane certainly is one of the best players in the Premier League and it should come as no surprise that many want to sign him up.
