The latest club to be linked with the 25-year-old is Tottenham, as the bookmakers have made us the favourites to sign the player up.
Coral’s John Hill was speaking to the Daily Star and said:
“There are sure to be a number of major clubs queuing up to sign Harry Maguire this summer following his performances at the World Cup.
“The betting suggests it is Tottenham who are the most likely to win the race to secure the Englishman once he gets home from Russia.”
We are the favourites to sign the Englishman at 9/4 while Liverpool are 4/1 and Manchester United are 6/1.
Maguire would not come on the cheap, however, as he only joined Leicester City at the start of last season. Also, he has been excellent in the World Cup, so Leicester would ask for a lot of money for the former Hull City defender.
The English defender would be a great signing for Spurs and would fit our playing style really well. And with Mauricio Pochettino managing the side, Maguire would certainly get better in the coming years.
We also have a quality English spine in the side and Maguire would really turn our team into a stronger unit.
