Former Tottenham star Gareth Bale is a target for several clubs after a difficult season, according to OK Diario (h/t Express). Gareth Bale has failed to light up the Bernabeu this season with just five La Liga goals in 17 games.
The Welsh attacker hasn’t been able to replace the goals that Cristiano Ronaldo used to score, and the report adds that Real would be looking for £131million if they sell the 29-year-old.
OK Diario’s director Eduardo Inda added that Tottenham are interested in their ex-player, but face a lot of competition from other Premier League sides (h/t Express):
“There is interest in Bale from England.
“Now Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea, a club that could be a bargaining chip for Hazard, want him.”
The transfer fee that Madrid want for Bale is certainly over the top, however, the Welsh winger could do with a change of scenery after several years in Spain.
Bale has had his injury problems at Real, and it will be interesting to see if we can lure him to Tottenham. Spurs are on the rise under Mauricio Pochettino, and the 29-year-old attacker could do a job under the right manager.
We are third in the Premier League and have a real chance of winning the competition for the first time.
The report adds that Spurs would love to sign the Welshman with the new stadium set to open. However, we should not spend a crazy amount to sign our former star.
