Tottenham target still some way off agreeing new deal with AC Milan after wages stumbling block

Tottenham transfer news: Suso and AC Milan still way off regarding new contract

Corriere dello Sport (h/t Calciomercato) claims that AC Milan and Suso are still a “considerable” distance away regarding the signing of a new contract.

The former Liverpool midfielder has been a revelation in the Serie A but the report claims that Milan are only willing to offer him €4m per season.

However, the Spaniard’s representatives are looking at a wage of €5m per year, according to the report.

Suso has been linked with Tottenham and the report claims that Milan could take the decision to sell the Spaniard if they cannot agree on a new deal.

Other big clubs interested in the Spaniard

The report adds that Real Madrid and Chelsea were also interested in the 25-year-old, who has had another great season in Italy.

Suso has seven goals and eight assists in all competitions for the Serie A giants. The Spaniard is capable of playing in several attacking positions and also as a right-midfielder and would provide teams with a lot of possibilities to field him.

The former Red would be a great addition to Spurs and would not take time to adjust to the Premier League thanks to his past experience.

Tottenham could do with someone as versatile as Suso, and it will be interesting to see our plans in the summer.

Another dry transfer window would be a major problem as we look to close the gap on the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.
