Latest Tottenham news: Some fans slam Danny Rose after 2-1 loss to Southampton
Tottenham might have defeated Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, but their form in the Premier League has been poor in recent weeks. We lost to Burnley and Chelsea before drawing against Arsenal and losing to Southampton on Saturday.
Tottenham dominated the first half and got their deserved goal from Harry Kane. The Englishman finished well after receiving a lofted pass from Dele Alli.
We should have scored more before half-time but it didn’t happen somehow.
A second-half capitulation
The Saints came out all guns blazing in the second half and the first goal was a major blow to us. Danny Rose let a ball go through his legs and Yan Valery somehow scored with a looping effort over Hugo Lloris.
Some of Rose’s decision-making wasn’t great during the game, and the Englishman has had an on and off season.
The defender has put in some great performances for us this season but like most of the players, he has also gone through some rough patches.
The frustrating part of the loss was that we should have been way ahead of the Saints before they mounted their comeback.
The second goal was brilliant from James Ward-Prowse, an unstoppable free-kick to beat Lloris. The fans were left frustrated with the defeat and many targeted Rose for his overall performance at St. Mary’s.

Although Rose had some brain fart not to make a simple clearance. Unfortunately KWP played a big part in both goals. Was sleeping on the 1st and his foul cost the free kick 😔

Prime example of a game of two halves. 45 mins in we were rolling. The other 45 an absolute joke.
That mistake from Rose was unforgivable. Love Rose all you want but far too up and down for my liking. Always looking for the foul and prone to errors. #COYS

We all adore Rose because he does show passion for the shirt, but we also all know he has had a chequered history when it comes to decision making
