Three European giants interested in signing 17-year-old rising Tottenham starlet

Juventus, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid interested in Troy Parrott

Troy Parrott had a great international break as he scored three goals in two games for the U21 Irish team.

The 17-year-old Tottenham star is the next big thing coming through the system and impressed for the senior side during our pre-season.

The striker could provide back-up to Harry Kane later in the season, but several clubs are interested in the 17-year-old.

Calciomercato (h/t Daily Mail) claims that Juventus have entered the race to sign the Irish striker. The report adds that Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also keen on landing the forward.

Tottenham have a star on their hands

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that many clubs are interested in the 17-year-old striker. Spurs have seen several quality youngsters come through the ranks and Parrott could turn out to be the next Harry Kane.

Mauricio Pochettino has a history of working well with young talents, and it will be interesting to see how he works with Parrott.

The Argentine also needs to be careful to not rush Parrott into the first-team and then see the youngster trail off.

Marcus Edwards is an example of a highly-rated player never fulfilling his potential, and the youngster was allowed to leave this summer after failing at Tottenham.

Selling Parrott cannot be an option for Tottenham given his quality, and we have to reject any offers that may come for the Irishman.

Serie A giants keeping tabs on Tottenham star who didn’t start the season as first-choice

AC Milan tracking Serge Aurier as summer exit looms

AC Milan are eyeing a replacement for Davide Calabria after some inconsistent seasons, according to Calciomercato.

The Milan giants haven’t been great this season with their city rivals, Inter, fighting Juventus for top spot in the league.

The report claims that Milan are keeping tabs on several right-backs as they look to replace Calabria, with Serge Aurier on the list. The Ivorian has struggled for consistency this season and didn’t start the campaign as the first-choice either.

He did play in our 5-0 win over Red Star Belgrade yesterday, however, the report claims that the 26-year-old can leave in the summer. Milan are also keen on Djibril Sidibe from the Premier League and have targets in France too (h/t Calciomercato).

Aurier’s time with Spurs coming to an end?

It will be interesting to see when Milan make their move for the right-back. A January deal for Aurier might not work given that Tottenham don’t have enough quality cover for the position.

Kyle Walker-Peters is the only senior right-back we have in the team while Juan Foyth can also play in that position.

Moussa Sissoko and Davinson Sanchez have also featured there this season but they haven’t impressed. Aurier has failed to make the right-back spot his own since joining from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Ivorian has been injured several times over the past two seasons, and losing him won’t be much of a problem as long as we bring in a replacement.

UEFA to investigate how more than 200 Red Star fans made it to Tottenham’s Champions League clash

UEFA to investigate how Red Star supporters bought tickets for Champions League game

Tottenham kick-started their Champions League campaign after a couple of poor results. Spurs had only one point from the opening two games but destroyed Red Star Belgrade at home 5-0.

Erik Lamela got one goal while Harry Kane and Son Heung-min scored braces as we put up a great display.

However, UEFA will investigate how Red Star fans were able to get tickets for the game (h/t Evening Standard).

Harry Kane
Harry Kane scored twice against Serbian side Red Star

The Serbian fans were banned from attending this clash after being found guilty of racism in previous games, but the report claims that more than 200 of them were able to make their way into the ground.

Police and stewards had to contain the fans and Tottenham were responsible for the ticket sales and segregation of the supporters.

The home side could face sanctions from UEFA unless they can prove they tried not to sell tickets to the wrong fans.

The report adds that Tottenham did not put the Champions League tickets on general sale to avoid them ending up with the Red Star fans. A spokesperson added that Tottenham had launched their own investigation into the issue and action could be taken against the guilty (h/t Evening Standard):

“We have launched a full investigation in order to understand how tickets have been acquired. We shall take the strongest possible action against any individual found to have sold their ticket on.”

There weren’t any major issues during the game but this is a concern given that the tickets weren’t put out for general sale either.

Tottenham needed a good win

Spurs had been struggling for most of the season and this win should give us more confidence. Our next game is far from an easy one as we travel to Merseyside and face Liverpool.

The Reds dropped points against Manchester United on Sunday and if we play to our best ability, we should get something from Anfield.

Tottenham want Barcelona midfield star in January as Eriksen’s replacement

Tottenham see Barcelona’s Carles Alena as Christian Eriksen replacement

Tottenham will return in January for Barcelona’s rising star Carles Alena, according to Mundo Deportivo (h/t Daily Star).

The Spaniard broke into the first-team last season but has seen minutes hard to come by this time around.

Alena has only made one La Liga appearance under Ernesto Valverde this season, and the report claims that Spurs wanted to sign him on loan in the summer.

The report adds that Tottenham see Alena as a long-term replacement for Christian Eriksen. The Dane is out of a contract at the end of the season and can leave for free in the summer.

The 27-year-old can also speak with foreign clubs in the winter window ahead of a move at the end of the campaign. However, a move to Real Madrid might not take place.

Valverde’s form a problem for Eriksen

The Sun claims that a move to the Spanish capital is in danger due to Federico Valverde’s form for Real. The Uruguayan midfielder has impressed since returning from a loan spell at Deportivo La Coruna.

Valverde is seen as the successor to Croatian midfielder Luka Modric and Real might be tempted not to splash big on Eriksen and use the Uruguayan more (h/t Sun).

That would leave the Dane with a major dilemma on his hands. Eriksen had spoken about playing for Real ahead of this season.

The 27-year-old can also move in the January window on a cut-price deal and it will be interesting to see what happens with the midfielder in the coming weeks.

Transfer news: Varying reports from Spain highlight Real Madrid’s stance on Tottenham superstar

Varying reports from Spain highlight Real Madrid’s stance on Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen is out of a contract at the end of the season, and Real Madrid seem interested in the Dane.

The midfielder spoke about his desire to play for Los Galacticos before the start of the season but remained at Tottenham. Real seem keen on the 27-year-old but varying reports highlight what their plans are for the Dane.

El Desmarque (h/t BBC) claim that Real will offer Isco and Mariano Diaz in hopes of landing Eriksen.

Isco has struggled for regular game time this season and seems to have lost some form, but he is still one of the best in the league. While Diaz could provide some cover for Harry Kane and hasn’t featured for the Spanish giants this season.

That would be a decent deal for Spurs given that Eriksen is a free agent at the end of the season. However, AS (h/t BBC) reports that Real have to sell some fringe players before moving for the Dane.

Getting a swap deal done would be great for Spurs

Tottenham might not get a lot of money from Eriksen’s January sale given that he is a free agent soon.

A swap deal would be great, however, the players might take time to adjust to our plans.

It will be interesting to see what happens to the Dane, however, we don’t have all the negotiating power given that Eriksen can leave for free at the end of the season.
