Tottenham vs Crystal Palace ratings: Tottenham player ratings

Tottenham turned on the style in what looked like a difficult game as they beat Crystal Palace 4-0. All the goals came in a crazy first half, with Son Heung-min and Serge Aurier running riot.

The South Korean forward has had a slow start since returning from suspension but scored a brace, while Aurier was brought back into the team for his first start of the campaign.

Erik Lamela also got on the score sheet while Patrick van Aanholt put past his own keeper in between Son’s brace.

Son and Lamela had the chances to extend the lead after the break, but this was an impressive performance after a tough start to the season.

Tottenham had several players out with injuries, but it didn’t matter much in the end. The 4-0 win put us back in the top four before Sunday’s games and we carry great form into the Champions League clash in midweek.

Tottenham player ratings

Hugo Lloris – 6.5/10

The Frenchman had a couple of decent saves to make but wasn’t troubled too much by the Eagles today.

Serge Aurier – 8.5/10

Aurier made quite an impact by returning to the team. His first low-cross was turned into the net by Van Aanholt while he also picked out Son with a majestic effort as the South Korean scored our third.

Toby Alderweireld – 8.5/10

This was possibly Alderweireld’s best performance of the season as his passing was on point and wasn’t really troubled by the Palace attack.

Jan Vertonghen – 8/10

The Belgian also had a relatively quiet game and did a decent job alongside Alderweireld.

Danny Rose – 7.5/10

The Englishman was up against Wilfried Zaha several times but did well to keep the Ivorian in check.

Moussa Sissoko – 7/10

It was the usual Sissoko performance as the Frenchman ran his socks off and put the Palace midfield under pressure.

Harry Winks – 7/10

Winks too was his normal self as he had a few chances to score but couldn’t get the better of the Palace keeper.

Erik Lamela – 8.5/10

The Argentine has been one of the bright spots in the team this season and scored the fourth goal of the game. Lamela should have had another goal in the game but this was another positive display from the attacker.

Christian Eriksen – 7.5/10

Eriksen didn’t really put up a fantastic performance against the Eagles but had his moments with some nice passes.

Son Heung-min – 9/10

Son was at his best and his second goal was fantastic as he lashed in Aurier’s cross to make it 3-0. The South Korean also had chances to score his hat-trick but he should build his season on this performance.

Harry Kane – 8/10

Kane might not have scored but he played a part in some of the goals. He created the one that Lamela scored and had a few pops at goal too.

Substitutes

Tanguy Ndombele – 6/10

Came on in the second half but couldn’t do much.

Ben Davies – 6/10

Replaced Rose and played out the final 15 minutes or so.
