Giovani Lo Celso shone bright for Tottenham against West Ham United
Tottenham registered their first win in eight matches across all competitions, beating West Ham United 2-0 and one man was central to the victory – Giovani Lo Celso.
An own goal from Tomas Soucek and a Harry Kane strike led us to an important win, but Lo Celso’s role in the victory was crucial.
The 24-year-old Argentine, whose loan deal was made permanent in January, has been one of the brightest players for us this season. After having made a substitute appearance against Manchester United, the midfielder started on Tuesday against the Hammers and put in a top-notch performance.
Lo Celso racked up great numbers against our London rivals, finishing the game with most touches (116), most successful passes (84), most passes in opposition half (65), most key passes (3) and most possession won (15). The 24-year-old’s ability to open up opposition defences was on display on numerous occasions on the night.
