Manchester City preparing final offer for Tottenham star Harry Kane

According to The Telegraph (h/t Mirror), Manchester City are preparing their final offer for Tottenham star Harry Kane. With the transfer window set to shut down next week, City will throw in one last effort and that could be it from their end making it a take-it-or-leave-it offer.

It has been an interesting transfer window for Spurs. Most of the signings have been like-for-like replacements of departing stars. Pierluigi Gollini took up the second keeper role from Joe Hart, Cristian Romero will have some task replacing Toby Alderweireld and finally, Bryan Gil joined in a swap deal for Erik Lamela.

Yet, the biggest story is yet to reach its conclusion. Harry Kane remains a Tottenham player, for now. He expressed his desire to leave the club earlier but a move has not materialised. Manchester City have been trying their level best to get Kane to the Etihad but it has proved to be futile so far.

Now, with the transfer window having about a week before it closes, City have planned one final bid and they will leave it up to Spurs to accept it or they will walk away. With that in mind, Spurs have also sounded out a replacement in Adama Traore should Kane leave after an acceptable offer.

Things are all set to get exciting in this remaining bit of the window. It is unknown how much City are planning to offer and whether Spurs would even entertain it. Spurs are obviously taking the safe option to keep a backup like Traore in mind but their best move would be to rebuff the offer for Kane.
