Paratici opens talks with PL ace on Spurs’ radar
Tottenham Hotspur sporting director Fabio Paratici ‘opened talks’ with Wolves for Adama Traore
According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur transfer chief Fabio Paratici has initiated talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers over a £20million deal for Adama Traore.
Adama Traore had an outstanding spell for the Midlands side during the 2019/20 season. The Spaniard bagged an impressive six goals and 12 assists in 54 appearances across all competitions. The influential performance helped the club reach the Europa League’s quarter-final.
However, the 25-year-old has failed to pick up his form in the current campaign. He has struggled to show his worth in the final third, a key weakness in his game.

Even though Traore got several chances to prove his worth, the former Barcelona academy graduate couldn’t capitalize on the moments. With no goals and assists in 20 appearances in this campaign, the Spaniard’s Wolves future is in massive speculations.
Traore hasn’t penned down a new contract with Wolves. Bruno Lage’s tam currently values the 25-year-old for £20m and could open to a move if any theme agrees to meet their demanded price.
Tottenham have been linked with Traore in recent times. It seems that the club’s managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, has initiated the first move for the transfer target. It is believed that the Italian has started the negotiation with Wanderers for a possible deal.

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has shortlisted Traore for the wing-back spot and could use the 25-year-old star’s dominating pace and physicality to add significantly to the Spurs team.
Tottenham right-back Matt Doherty hasn’t provided any convincing performance in the last few months. The Irish star has fallen from the pecking order under Conte and has mostly spent time on the bench. It is believed that the Spurs boss has already decided to offload the 29-year-old.

Even though Emerson Royal has given positive performances, Conte requires a quality player who can create a competitive atmosphere for the position.
Traore has proved his pace down the left flank and showed that he could have the advantage over any defender due to his incredible physicality. Therefore he could be an excellent addition to the squad. Spurs should try to get him for a lower price by leveraging his recent poor performances.
