Inter Milan not giving up on signing Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Marcus Thuram
Tottenham Hotspur could face serious competition from Inter Milan for the signature of Borussia Monchengladbach superstar Marcus Thuram.
This is according to Italian outlet CalcioMercato, which also cites interest from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Newcastle United.
The France international has been in sensational form for the Bundesliga side this season, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists in 22 games across competitions.
The 25-year-old has made himself a household name recently and was in the France national team that finished second in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Hence, his contract situation would naturally pique the interest of some of the world’s best football clubs.
Thuram to Spurs?
He is currently on a deal that expires in the summer. Inter Milan are apparently keen to sign him on a free transfer and are not giving up their pursuit of the versatile French forward, who is capable of playing anywhere across the frontline.
Spurs signed Arnaut Daanjuma this January, which showed manager Antonio Conte’s desire to have a quality forward in the first-team set-up rather than the inexperienced legs of Bryan Gil, who was loaned out to Sevilla.
Considering the Netherlands international is bound to return to Villarreal this summer, a free move for Thuram makes a lot of sense. Given his age, he can even be a potential successor to Harry Kane or Son Heung-min.
The issue here, for us, would be the sheer amount of competition for his services coupled with our potential inability to guarantee him minutes. With Son, Kane, Dejan Kulusevski, and Richarlison, Thuram cannot be guaranteed a starting spot here.

Perhaps if one of our key forwards leave this summer, then a move for Thuram would seem a bit more realistic and achievable on paper.
