Steven Gerrard believes Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane must take a tough decision for the sake of his career
Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has suggested that Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane faces a “big decision” regarding his career. The 29-year-old has been with Spurs since 2009 but has yet to win any silverware with the club.
After becoming England’s all-time leading scorer with his 54th international goal, Kane’s future has come under increased scrutiny. He needs to find a way to put himself in an ambitious project.
Gerrard, who also faced a similar dilemma during his career, stated that Kane must decide whether his team is good enough to help him achieve his ambitions. Until now, we just haven’t been able to compete properly.

Gerrard, who made his Liverpool debut in 1998 and remained with the club until 2015, acknowledged that his own situation was different, as winning trophies with the Reds meant more to him than any potential move elsewhere.

“He’s [Kane] got a big decision to make. I can’t give him any advice on that but I bet you every single day of his life now moving forward, it’s going to be on his mind.”
With Tottenham currently struggling to compete for major honours, Kane may be tempted to seek success elsewhere. However, the striker has also been vocal about his commitment to the club in the past, and has stated his desire to become a Tottenham legend.
