Napoli’s Kim Min-Jae talks about his future amidst Tottenham links
Despite his impressive performances for the Serie A outfit, the South Korean international has expressed his desire to focus on his current team rather than be distracted by transfer speculation.
In an interview after South Korea’s 2-2 draw with Colombia, Kim gave his verdict on the persistent rumours that have been circulating recently. He said:
“As you know, those rumours are not true at all. I want to focus on my team. I have many tournaments to play. It’s been four or years I have had these rumours. It’s uncomfortable. I wish you don’t spread those stories.”
The defender seems to have grown tired of the constant speculation surrounding his future and made it clear that he is solely focused on helping Napoli achieve their objectives this season.
Kim Min Jae has been a standout performer for Napoli this season, helping them to climb up the Serie A table and reach the knockout stages of the Champions League. His impressive displays have caught the attention of several top clubs across Europe, with Tottenham being one of the sides reportedly interested in signing him.
Tottenham have been on the lookout for defensive reinforcements, and Kim’s physicality and aerial prowess make him an attractive option for them. With the future of some of their defenders uncertain, the South Korean international could be a valuable addition to their squad.
However, Kim’s recent comments suggest that a move to Tottenham might not be on the cards anytime soon. His focus on helping Napoli achieve their objectives this season is a clear indication that he is committed to the Italian outfit and not looking to move on.
That being said, transfer speculation is a part of football, and it wouldn’t be surprising if more rumours linking Kim with a move to Tottenham or other clubs surface in the coming months. For now, though, the defender seems content to focus on his current team and continue to impress on the pitch.
Kim Min-Jae would be a great signing to add to the Tottenham roster. He is a world-class defender who’d work well with someone like Cristian Romero. The South Korean defender is an amazing option.
