Boost for Tottenham Hotspur as Richarlison is expected to be fit to face Everton
According to Liverpool Echo, Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a huge boost with Brazilian striker Richarlison expected to be fit for the clash against his former side Everton.
Richarlison got injured in the early stages of the 3-3 draw against Southampton, a game that eventually proved to be the last game that Tottenham played in the managerial reign of Antonio Conte.
The Italian has since left the club by mutual consent and Cristian Stellini is the man tasked with leading the club at least until the end of the season. He will be glad that Richarlison’s injury is not serious as first feared.
Richarlison has had an awful first season at Spurs and is yet to score his first goal in the Premier League. Injuries have clearly not allowed him to have his usual impact and he has not been able to break into the team.
Every time the Brazilian looks like he is turning a new lead at his new club and starts a string of games, he suffers an injury relapse or a new injury that sees him miss out on footballing action for a while.
It is very clear that Richarlison and Antonio Conte did not seem to see eye to eye with the Brazilian disappointed about the amount of game time the former manager was giving him when fit.
We still do not know the equation the Brazilian has with Stellini but there is a feeling that everyone will be given a clean state. Richarlison will know that this could be a glorious time to take his chance.
Tottenham are fighting to finish in a top-four spot this season and Stellini will need all his players to pull in the same direction to get a positive result. Let’s see how the manager goes about using Richarlison.
