Tottenham risk missing out on Julien Nagelsmann to Chelsea
According to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur risk missing out on favoured managerial target Julien Nagelsmann with Chelsea pulling clear in the race for the manager.
The race for a new head coach at Chelsea has been heating up with the club sacking Graham Potter after a poor run of form. However, it seems that the Blues are edging closer to securing their man, with Julian Nagelsmann emerging as the front-runner to take over at Stamford Bridge.
Tottenham Hotspur could be at risk of missing out on the highly sought-after Julian Nagelsmann as their next manager with the Blues needing a new manager right now for the rest of the season.
Nagelsmann’s reputation as a rising star in the world of football has been well-earned. Despite his relatively young age, he has already proven himself to be a highly successful manager at two different clubs.
He was unfairly removed from his job as Bayern Munich manager despite doing a pretty decent job during his time there. The German giants have since moved on to Thomas Tuchel and Nagelsmann might have the chance to work with a very exciting squad at Chelsea.
For Tottenham, Nagelsmann would represent a significant coup. The club has been without a solid project for quite some time now and have seen a manager merry-go-round, and fans are eager to see a new leader take the helm.
However, it’s not clear whether or not Nagelsmann would be willing to take on the challenge of turning around a struggling team rather than taking over at Chelsea where he has a great team to work with.
Despite these challenges, Tottenham should not give up on the possibility of hiring Nagelsmann just yet. The club has a number of strengths that could make it an attractive destination for the young coach.
