Al Nassr and Ronaldo trying to tempt Tottenham managerial target Zidane

According to CBS Sports, Al Nassr and Cristian Ronaldo are making an attempt to try and take Tottenham Hotspur managerial target Zinedine Zidane to Saudi Arabia.

The managerial merry-go-round is in full swing, and Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs looking for a new boss. With Antonio Conte having left the club after a string of poor results, Spurs are searching for someone to take them to the next level.

One name that has been linked with the job is Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman is a legendary figure in the game, having achieved great success with Real Madrid as both a player and a manager.

He is the only manager to have won the Champions League three times in a row, and his record at the Bernabeu speaks for itself. However, he is not our first choice and Al Nassr now seem to want him.

Ronaldo seems to have taken it upon himself to find a new boss for Al Nassr following the exit of Rudi Garcia and he has been in contact with both Mourinho and Zidane and that he has been pushing for the club to make a move for one of them.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether Zidane would be interested in the job. He is a highly sought-after coach, and he may not be interested in a move to Saudi Arabia. However, the Ronaldo factor might influence him.

The links with Zidane have gone quiet in recent weeks, and it’s unclear whether Spurs are still pursuing him. However, if they are, they may now be watching the situation at Al-Nassr closely to see what happens.

Zidane is a great option to have on our shortlist but it is clear that we have other priorities. Thus, missing out on him to Al Nassr might not be something that really hurts us provided we land our preferred option.
