Liverpool, Tottenham and Man United to compete for Gabri Viega
According to Atlantico, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are set to compete for La Liga prodigy Gabri Viega.
The La Liga prodigy has been turning heads in Spain, and it’s no surprise that huge clubs in Europe have all expressed an interest in the young midfielder. Tottenham do not want to be left behind in this race.
Veiga has been on Celta Vigo’s books for several seasons, and his performances have not gone unnoticed. His excellent dribbling ability, vision, and creativity on the ball make him an exciting prospect for any team. Barcelona and Real Madrid are said to want him.
However, it seems that Veiga may be more interested in a move to the Premier League. Arsenal and Manchester City have been credited with an interest in the young midfielder, but Liverpool, Tottenham, and Manchester United are now said to be leading the race.
For Liverpool, Veiga would be an excellent addition to their midfield. The Reds have lacked creativity in the middle of the park this season, with none of the existing options inspiring any sort of confidence.
Veiga’s ability to play as an attacking midfielder or out wide would provide Jurgen Klopp with some much-needed flexibility in his team. However, he is most likely to play in midfield considering the situation here.
Manchester United have also been linked with Veiga, and it’s easy to see why. The Red Devils have struggled to break down stubborn defenses this season, and the addition of a player like Veiga could be the missing piece of the puzzle.
However, it’s Tottenham who may need Veiga the most. Spurs have struggled in the absence of a creative midfielder this season, with all our midfielders being merely functional. We need someone to unlock defences for us.
