Fabrizio Romano offers an update on the future of Tottenham target Vitor Roque

According to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur target Vitor Roque is planning to move in the summer with Barcelona remaining the favourite for his signature.

The Brazilian youngster has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, with many tipping him as the ideal long-term solution to their offensive woes. The player has been pretty vocal about his desire to move there.

Roque’s desire to move to Barcelona is not a secret. In fact, he has made it clear multiple times, both publicly and privately. The 20-year-old is eager to move to the city as soon as possible, rather than wait until the summer transfer window opens.

However, the Catalan giants are currently facing a tough financial situation. The club has been under intense pressure to cut back on spending and improve its finances and this could throw a spanner in the works in Roque’s plan.

While Tottenham may not have the financial clout of Barcelona, they are a club on the rise. With a strong foundation in place and a talented squad at their disposal, Spurs are looking to make significant strides in the upcoming season under a new manager.

For Tottenham, signing Roque could prove to be a masterstroke. The Brazilian is a versatile attacker who can play in multiple positions across the frontline. His pace, dribbling ability, and eye for goal make him a dangerous proposition for any opposition defence.

Moreover, Spurs have a history of nurturing young talent and providing them with the platform to shine. The likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, and Gareth Bale all made their names at Tottenham at a very young age.

However, with Barcelona still in the mix, Spurs may have to act fast if they want to secure Roque’s signature. The young forward has already expressed his desire to move to Camp Nou, and if the Catalan giants make their move, it could be difficult for Tottenham to convince him otherwise.
