Fiorentina striker Arthur Cabral considered by Tottenham Hotspur amidst Harry Kane uncertainty

Tottenham Hotspur have their eyes on Fiorentina star Arthur Cabral amidst uncertainty around the future of Harry Kane, according to the Daily Mail.

The 25-year-old Brazilian is being considered as a potential option to bolster the attack at the North London side. As things stand, Spurs’ own centre-forward is keen on parting ways with the club.

To that end, the England international has no intention of putting pen to paper on a new contract at the North London side, with his current deal expiring next summer.

Kane could end up leaving Tottenham for free in the coming months. However, the English skipper is open to joining Bayern Munich in the ongoing transfer window.

As a result, Daniel Levy is keeping tabs on Cabral. The Brazilian signed for Fiorentina in January 2022 from FC Basel. In the previous campaign, the striker looked to have found his feet in Italy.

The 25-year-old was the Florence-based club’s leading man in the 2022/23 term. In 48 appearances in all competitions for the Viola, he found the back of the net 17 times and provided two assists.

However, it is still not close to the impact Kane has had at Tottenham over the years. The English national has shouldered the burden of our attacks for the most part since the 2014/15 season.

In the previous campaign, he was our only reliable forward. The 29-year-old found the back of the net 30 times in the Premier League in 38 appearances. Unfortunately, our other attackers were not up to the mark.

Therefore, Kane’s potential exit will evidently be a big blow for Tottenham. Also, having Cabral as a contingency does not look inspiring. While the Brazilian was decent at Fiorentina last season, the English top flight is an entirely different ballgame.
