Fabrizio Romano: Tottenham have reached an agreement for 19-year-old Argentine prodigy

Fabrizio Romano confirms that Alejo Veliz is Tottenham Hotspur bound

According to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign talented Argentinian striker Alejo Veliz from Rosario Central.

Tottenham were said to be interested in securing the services of the 2003-born striker and it looks like they have managed to do just that. Veliz is a very talented player who has a lot of potential to grow.

The final fee for the striker is said to be around €15m plus add-ons which is quite substantial for someone who is not a regular name in the footballing world. However, it is also an indication of how highly Tottenham view the player.

The teenage sensation is definitely not a signing for the present. However, with the correct kind of development, he could become a really important player in the future for the club in the years to come.

Tottenham are struggling with the future of Harry Kane. With no clear indication as to how this particular issue will pan out, the club are forced to play the waiting game and hope that the English captain remains here.

Then, there is the curious case of Richarlison. No one still knows if the Brazilian is actually a world-class talent or not. He has always been about but never really had a breakthrough campaign as of now.

Yes, the Brazilian could really come good under Postecoglou this season. Regardless, there is absolutely no doubt that Tottenham will try and sign a youngster who can take over from these two in the years to come.

This is where Alejo Veliz comes in. If the player can keep up on his initial promise and show his quality for the club, there is no doubt that he would be a genuine contender to lead the line for Tottenham.
